Wow, what a day!
I was soooo embarrassed today at work… The tavern was full of tourists today and at some point, I was serving this old couple who were taking pictures of everything with their super cool camera.
All of a sudden they asked me “Can we get a picture of you?”. I thought it was weird at the moment, but what the hell… they probably just want to remember all the places they went to and also include a picture of their waitresses from time to time. So I say “Absolutely!” and head over next to them, kneel down, and smile for the camera they’re holding.
They both looked pretty embarrassed and kept looking back and forth at each other.
Finally, the older dude said “Oh… ummmm…. haha! Would you mind actually taking the picture of us?”
Ugh… Face Palm!!!
They didn’t ask me to take a picture with them, they asked me to take a picture of them.
My face is still red, I felt so stupid. I hope I never see these people again! HAHAA
I hope my silliness left a funny vacation memory for this old couple. They were lovely and left me a nice tip. As for me, I have this story to giggle about and a lesson to pay more attention to what people say to me! 🙂
